EAC NEWSLETTER - 2/06/12
PRACTICE SCHEDULE:
The February calendar is finished and is posted on the EAC website. There are no changes to practice times this week, including practice on Saturday!
DUAL MEET:
At our dual meet last weekend, we beat Collegiate by 40 points. With the win against Collegiate, we went undefeated and won our division. This is the third time in 4 years that we have won our division. Congratulations to all our swimmers who worked so hard this season!
DIVISIONALS/ALL STARS:
Our Divisonal Championship meet is on February 25th. Entry information for Divisionals is due on Friday, February 10th. Please remember to return the form to Coach Ken even if your child is not swimming at divisionals. All swimmers who swam at 3 of the dual meets are eligible to swim at divisionals. The All Star meet will take place on Sunday February 26th. The top 16 individual swimmers and the top 8 relays in the League qualify for the All Star meet. Please remember to check the box if your swimmer will not be attending All Stars on Sunday. More information about Divisionals and All Stars will be available next week.
ALL STAR T-SHIRTS:
All Star T-shirts are available for pre order. To order a 2012 All Stars T-shirt please place a card or paper with the following information on it:
Name, Size. Sizes available: YS, YM, YL, S, M, L, XL, XXL Please include a check made out to EAC for $15.00. Place order in an envelope with All Star T-shirt order marked on it and give to Coach Ken by Friday 2/10. Orders will be placed on Friday night so no late orders will be taken after practice. They do usually have t-shirts for sale at the meet, but a very limited supply.
VALENTINE 9&U MEET:
The Valentine meet is this Sunday, February 12th. We do not have the warm up times yet, but will let you know this week. We are required to have 1 timer for the meet. If you are willing to time at the meet, please let Coach Ken know this week.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE:
The February calendar is finished and should be posted on the EAC website this week. There are no changes to practice times this week!
DUAL MEET:
Our next CPAL dual meet is on Saturday, February 4th at home. Warm ups for Seniors will begin at 7:20am and all other swimmers at 7:30am. Please make sure you plan to arrive at the pool 15 minutes prior to your warm up time. If your swimmer will not be swimming on Saturday please notify Coach Ken in writing or by email by Wednesday, February 1st.
DIVISIONALS:
Entry information and t-shirt order forms were place in folders on Friday. Orders and payment for t-shirts are due to Coach Ken by this Friday, February 3rd. Divisional entry forms are due to Coach Ken by Friday, February 10th. Please remember to return the form to Coach Ken even if your child is not swimming at divisionals. All swimmers who swam at 3 of the dual meets are eligible to swim at divisionals.
SWIM-A-THON MAKE UPS:
If you missed the fun but would still like to participate in the swim-a-thon, Coach Ken has designated Wednesday, February 1st, and Thursday, February 2nd as make-up sessions. Swimmers may swim laps from 6:30 - 8:30. If you are interested, you must sign up at the pool by tomorrow evening.
T-SHIRTS:
Please remember to stop by the bulletin board by 2/1/12 and circle your swimmer's T-shirt size.

DUAL MEET:
Our next CPAL dual meet is on Saturday, January 28th at Ephrata. Our Warm ups are scheduled for 1:30pm. If your swimmer is not swimming at this meet, please notify Coach Ken by e-mail or in writing by Wednesday 1/25.
USA SWIMMING:
Warm ups for the EMAC Winter Invite is as follows:
- Saturday 1/28
- 12 & U warm up at 1:00pm, meet start is 2:00pm Sunday 1/29
- 13 & over warm up at 8:00am, meet start is 9:00am
- 12 & U warm up at 12:00, meet start is 1:00pm.
T-SHIRT SIZES:
We need your swimmer’s T-shirt size! Please make a trip to the bulletin board and circle your swimmers size by 2/01/12.
DIVISIONALS:
We are about a month away from our Divisional meet! Later this week, you will find information in your folders about divisional t-shirts and entries. In order to participate at Divisionals you must swim in at least 3 of our dual meets.

SWIM A THON:

PRACTICE SCHEDULE:
The January schedule is posted on the EAC website. We do not have practice on Tuesday night 1/17, due to a home high school swim meet.
PRACTICE CHANGE:
Please make a note that on Wednesday, January 18th we will have practice times as follows:
- Novice : 6:30-7:15
- Juniors : 7:15-8:00
- Seniors : 8:00-8:45
This is to make up for the Novice practices missed due to High School/College meets.
DUAL MEET:
Our next CPAL dual meet is on Saturday, January 21st at South Middleton. Everyone should have received an e-mail with directions to the South Middleton pool, as well as the warm up time of 1:30pm. This is a change from the original warm up time. If your swimmer will not be swimming at this meet, please notify Coach Ken in writing or by e-mail by Wednesday, January 18th.
USA SWIMMING:
The entries for the USA meets have been sent. If there are any changes or updates we will let you know.

Ribbons from the LV meet, the Frosty Frolic and the LEBY meet were placed in folders this week. There are a couple swimmers who are missing ribbons and we will try to get them from the CPAL rep. If your swimmer is missing a ribbon from the LEBY meet, please let us know by Tuesday.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE:
The January schedule is posted on the EAC website. We do not have practice on Tuesday night 1/10, due to a home high school swim meet and we do not have practice on Saturday 1/14 due to a college meet. We will make up one of the Novice practices on Sunday January 15th 5:00-6:00pm.
PRACTICE CHANGE:

This past weekend we won our 3rd Dual meet against LV. Our next CPAL dual meet is on Saturday, January 21st at South Middletown. Look for more information on warm up times and directions next week. If your swimmer will not be swimming at this meet, please notify Coach Ken in writing or by e-mail by Wednesday, January 18th.
USA SWIMMING:
We were unable to enter some of our swimmers in the WSY meet in January, because it was filled in the 11&12 and 13&14 age group. Last week you received entry information on 4 USA meets for January and February. The entries for all these meets are due tonight, Monday, January 9th. Please be sure to get your entries in on time so that we can get into these meets. The Central York meet is on the same weekend as our cross over meet with Ephrata. Because this is a cross over meet, swimmers may swim both days at Central York, or just on Sunday. Because our 11&12 and 13&14 swimmers could not swim at the WSY meet, they are encouraged to do both days.
FROSTY FROLIC:
Thank you to all the families that volunteered for the Frosty Frolic Meet!! It was again a great success and our 10 and under swimmers did fantastic!

PRACTICE SCHEDULE:
The December calendar is posted on the EAC website. This Monday is our Family Fun Swim. Bring your family for a fun night of swimming. We will have regular practice on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday next week.
On Thursday, December 22nd, we will be celebrating Coach Ken’s 50th Birthday!! We’ll have cake between practices and maybe Coach Ken will swim a couple 50s at practice to celebrate!
DUAL MEET:
Congratulations to the team for another win on Saturday. Once again we had a lot of fast swims! Thank you to all our parents who pitch in to volunteer.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE:
The December calendar is posted on the EAC website. There will NOT be practice today, Monday 12/12, due to the High School swim meet. Next Monday is our Family Fun Swim night. Please plan to join us for a fun night of swimming.
CPAL MEET:
Our next CPAL dual meet is on Saturday. This meet is against the Lebanon YMCA and is held at Cedar Crest High School. Directions to the meet are posted on the website. Our warm up time for this meet is at 11:00am. The meet will start at 11:30am. Please plan to arrive at the pool 15 minutes prior to warm ups. Any swimmer not swimming in this meet must notify Coach Ken in writing or by e-mail by Wednesday, December 14th.
USA SWIMMING:
Anyone interested in participating in USA swimming for 2012 should make sure they see Coach Ken to sign up by December 15th. Information for the WSY Winter Invitational on January 14-15 will be placed in folders this week. Entries for this meet will be due by December 22nd.
LEAGUE INVITATIONAL:
Warm ups for our team on Sunday at the Jeremy Naylor Invitational is at 12:15. The meet is held at Northern York High School. Please make sure you plan to arrive at the pool at 12:00. Because of the School district policy they will not let anyone into the building before noon. Coach Ken will be the on deck coach for this meet. If you have any questions please contact Ken at 371-0782.

The December calendar is posted on the EAC website. There is a change for this week. We WILL have practice this Thursday, Dec 8th. The College meet was rescheduled. We will not have practice on Saturday because we have our first dual meet.
CPAL MEET:
Our first CPAL dual meet is on Saturday! Our first meet is at home and warm ups for Seniors will begin at 7:20am. Warm ups for Juniors and Novice will begin at 7:30am. It is very important that you plan to arrive at the pool 15 mins prior to warm ups. Remember, if your swimmer will not be swimming at this meet, you must notify Coach Ken in writing or by e-mail no later than Wednesday, December 7th.
